Somerset

   This is the market square of Somerton, an ancient Saxon town in Somerset whose famous landmark is the octagonal shaped Market Cross, also known as the Buttercross, which can be seen in this photograph. It was built during the late 16th century and is now classified as an Ancient Monument.
