	Also known as San Pancrazio, this is the larger of two islands close to Brissago and Ascona on the shores of Lake Maggiore. It is famous for its botanical gardens which cover the whole island. A wide range of subtropical plants grow here due to its particularly mild climate, and the island has also become a popular venue for wedding parties.
