San Vicente de la Barquera - 2
San Vicente on the Cantabrian coast was once an old fishermen's refuge. This is a view from the King's Castle (Castillo del Rey) which dates back to the thirteenth century and looks out over the town and river estuary. The long Maza bridge in the distance with its 28 arches, was built on the orders of the Catholic Monarchs in the 16th century.
