	Viewed from the Hotel Riu at the southern tip of the Playa del Ingles holiday resort are these golden sand dunes, formed over centuries by sand blown across from the Sahara. A 20-minute walk along a marked route brings you to the coastline where the 8km long beach links up with the nearby Maspalomas beach resort.
