Gun Cliff in winter
Looking from Gun Cliff along the town beach of Lyme Regis towards the Cobb in the distance. So called because one of the most easterly sea forts in Lyme Regis stood here throughout Blake's defence of Lyme in the English Civil War, up until the early 19th century. The red brick building with the tower is the present town hall.
