Zig Zag Hill, Shaftesbury
The downs above Zig Zag Hill (Britain's bendiest road?) near Shaftesbury, in February 2004. In subsequent years this road has been closed for days by metre deep snowdrifts, as it is north facing and fairly exposed. In the foreground are the nearby hills of Melbury and Duncliffe, but the views stretch as far as the Blackmore Vale, Bristol Channel and Salisbury Plain.
