Lyme Regis Cobb and Harbour in May
Viewed from the start of the famous Cobb Breakwater, which featured in the TV adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Persuasion'. It curves around towards the old fishermen's cottages and protects the inner harbour. The pebble beach to the right of the Cobb is Monmouth Beach, named after the Duke of Monmouth, who landed there with his troops in 1865.
