Landslip at Charmouth, December 2015
A week before Christmas 2015 and following a long spell of wet weather there was another landslip on the cliffs to the east of Charmouth. This time 1000 tonnes of cliff including large boulders tumbled down onto the beach attracting dozens of sightseers and fossil hunters. Two months later two people became trapped in the soft mudslides and had to be rescued.
