Chesil Beach
The world famous 29km long Chesil Beach stretches from Bridport to the Isle of Portland. The pebbles have been finely graded from one end to the other by the tides over the centuries, and it is said that fishermen landing at night can judge their position along the beach by the size of the pebbles.
