   This is part of a mountain footpath known as the ‘Massaweg’ from Blatten to Ried-Mörel, cut out of the mountain high above the Massa Gorge, which takes the melt waters from the Aletsch Glacier. The views from here look down into the Rhone Valley towards the town of Brig.
At Ried-Mörel it is possible to take a gondola lift down to Mörel and catch a train back to Brig.
