Exeter Quay (Butt's Ferry)
Exeter's Historic Quayside is one of the most attractive areas of the city, popular with locals and visitors alike for its interesting architecture and plentiful supply of pubs and restaurants. There has been a ferry crossing here for over a thousand years and the hand-pulled Butt's Ferry seen moored by the red sign in this photograph, is one of about seven floating bridges left in the UK, five of which are in the west country.
