The Piazza Terracina
This little square located at the end of the Exeter Ship Canal basin at Exeter Quay is named after one of Exeter's twin towns, Terracina, 100 km from Rome. To the left end of the canal you can see the remains of a railway turntable, now converted to a seating area. This turntable is a very rare example of Isambard Brunel's broad gauge branch line built in 1867.
