A view from behind the restaurant at the top of the Simplon Pass leading from Brig in Switzerland, down through the Gondo Gorge into Italy. The granite statue of an eagle which can be seen on the horizon at the end of the path, commemorates the Swiss Army who defended the pass during WW2.
