This little fishing village and seaside resort of Cavtat (pronounced "Tsav-tat") lies about 17km north of Dubrovnik. It can be reached by a number 10 bus from the hill above the old city, or by ferryboat from the old harbour. The waterfront is lined with numerous bars and restaurants, and there is an interesting walk around the peninsula back to the town centre.
