This tiny hamlet of Imfeld at the end of the Binn Valley in the canton of Valais was used as a setting for the 1991 film 'My American Friends' written by and featuring Michael Palin. The third chalet to the left of the chapel is the oldest in the village, and dates back to 1793, the date being carved into a beam in the main living room.
The Binn valley is renowned for its source of minerals, including one named 'Binnite' which is found just 20 minutes from here in the world famous Lengenbach Quarry.
