This is the western end of the promenade at Lyme Regis, photographed outside 'Jane's Cafe' which was once
Bay Cottage, and which featured in Jane Austen's famous novel 'Persuasion', much of which was written in Lyme Regis.
The rock garden behind the white sunshades is known as Jane's Garden in her memory.
The colourful procession taking place is the annual umbrella parade along the seafront, led by The Louisana Parade Jazz Band. |
