The rockery garden pictured here is dedicated to the famous novelist Jane Austen, who spent much of her time in Lyme Regis while writing her book 'Persuasion'.
A stone bust of the author was once the centre piece of this garden, but the statue was taken away during the 2006 coastal development works and has now mysteriously gone missing.
An appeal has gone out to anyone who might know where Jane Austen's head has gone to get in touch.
